NakedPak is a startup aiming to eliminate food packaging waste with edible, dissolvable packaging that cooks with food. Single-use plastic waste, especially in the food industry, poses severe environmental and financial challenges. In 2018, the U.S. generated about 82.2 million tons of food packaging waste, costing nearly $5 billion to manage. This waste crisis, compounded by new fees like Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), pressures producers to find sustainable, cost-effective solutions.
